my performance

I performed in the Winter Arts Festival this February.  The piece was named I see fire.  It was the name of the song that went with the dance.  It was the first time I have performed dance in front of an audience since I was in pre-K.
I worked very long on getting this dance perfected.  We practiced the dance every class.  I even showed parts of it to my family.  The phrase I showed her had partner work that I counted.  But even with lots of practice, I was a little bit scarred before I performed.  After the dance was over -  I felt good!

What we are working on in class

We have been working on African dance. The dance we are doing is the wade in the water. African dance consists mostly of jumping and using masks. They use drums to go along with there music. They use face paints too.
