My mother is a dancer.   She has been a professional dancer and choreographer in NYC for 19 years.  She is older now, but still performs!  Last year, she dance in 500 lbs of rice.  Here is a video showing above when she collaborated (that means she worked with a creative director / choreographer Chase Angier and she made the movement).

She also loves flowers.  The video below is a dance she made about women and flowers called Essentials of Flor.



She also teaches college students at Marymount Manhattan College and Drew University.

why is dance good



Dance is a very good activity. It keeps you fit. Because it works your muscles in a fun way.  It is also awesome to dance to music.  I love music.  Some of my favorite music to dance to is MonsterCat.  I like it because it is techno and my own style hip hop and street combined.  I like to improvise when I dance.
Dance also helps you get balance.  Body balance and head balance.  My mom says dancing makes you smarter.  There is a new study out about this.   Read this!

Football vs dance

I now know football is a lot like dance and also, most of football players do dance for practice. My dad started dancing because he was a college football player at Nebraska University.  He had bad knees and was told dancing would help.  He ended up being pretty good and danced a lot in college and after college.


If you play football you should do ballet. I play football and dance helps with my balance and agility.
